Two representatives from GSMF participated in the 10th anniversary celebration of Gender Equality Network (GEN) on 18th September 2018 at Sedona Hotel, Yangon. Among the participants were the members of Gender Equality Network, the officials from Department of Social work, Parliamentarian, Development Partners, Representatives from the Embassies, GEN members, Various Women groups, Representatives from the private Sector, UN Organizations, NGOs, INGOs, the donors and the invited guests.
GEN Myanmar is a diverse and inclusive network of more than 150 civil society organizations, national and international NGOs, and Technical Resource Persons working to bring about gender equality and the fulfilment of women’s rights in Myanmar through: building the evidence base in the new emerging context in Myanmar; advocacy in national, regional and international forums; and innovations in communications; and capacity building initiatives.
GSMF has been a member of GEN since 2017.
