(Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd Sisters, Myanmar)
Our lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd Sisters celebrated the Final and First professions of the religious vows on March 15, 2023 at St.John’s Maung Htaw lay Parish Church in Yangon, Myanmar.
The Eucharistic Celebration was led by His Eminence Cardinal Charles Bo, the Archbishop of Yangon Diocese. Bishop Noel Saw Naw Aye, the Auxiliary Bishop of Yangon Archdiocese, Bishop Maurice Nyunt Wai, the Bishop of Mawlamyine Diocese and (35) thirty-five priests were joined with us to praise and thank God for what God has done for the Congregation, in particular for Myanmar Sector. The Congregational Leader of the Good Shepherd, Sr. Joan Marie Lopez and the members of the Apostolic Councilors, Sr. Mirjam Beike, Sr. Marie Francoise Mestry, Sr. Josita Corera were present in the Occasion. The East Asia Province Leader Sr. Rebecca Kay Thi Oo and all the Good Shepherd sisters, the Religious Brothers and Sisters, the parents and the relatives of the candidates of the professions, the Benefactors and partners in mission were also present in this special celebration.
There are five sisters who responded God’s call by doing the final profession and the first profession to give their whole lives for the vulnerable women and children.
